Ryan is an experienced trial lawyer and litigator at McQueeney and McQueeney LLC with 20 years of experience representing individuals, insurance companies and businesses in commercial and personal injury lawsuits around the country. A former Cook County prosecutor, Ryan has tried 25 cases to verdict before juries and hundreds before judges.
For six years, Ryan was National Coordinating counsel for a distributor of food flavoring and fragrance specialty chemicals responsible for every aspect of the national defense strategy. Ryan was responsible for over 200 cases filed from California to New Jersey, requiring him to have a working knowledge of federal food and drug and safety regulations. As a highly experienced attorney at law in Chicagoland Area, IL, he has defended Fortune 100 companies in toxic tort and product liability lawsuits as well as small businesses in formation, collections, transactions, litigation and dissolution.
Ryan McQueeney is also founding member and manager of Chicago Alternative Health Care d/b/a Midway Dispensary, located a few minutes from Midway Airport in Chicago. Since opening in April 2016, Midway Dispensary has seen consistent and steady growth with a patient retention rate of over 90%. Ryan has personally experienced how medical cannabis has improved the lives of Midway’s patients, in many cases permitting them to wean themselves completely off opioids and benzodiazepines.
As Head of Strategy, Ryan is responsible for government and industry relations as well as community, patient and physician outreach. Ryan is a founding member of the Medical Cannabis Alliance of Illinois, the trade association for the Illinois medical cannabis industry and is head of the Physician Outreach Committee. Ryan collaborates with various public and private groups such as Veteran Organizations, law enforcement, city, county and state officials to develop medical cannabis policy in Illinois.

Neal McQueeney has 15 years of civil litigation experience representing individuals and entities in commercial and tort disputes. Over the last seven years, Mr. McQueeney has focused his practice on representing individuals and businesses before the Illinois Gaming Board, and working with those entities on growing their businesses while maintaining compliance in the heavily regulated gaming industry.
Mr. McQueeney has taken his experience in gaming and applied it successfully to the Illinois Compassionate Use of Medical Cannabis Pilot Program Act by successfully applying for a medical cannabis dispensary license in Chicago and becoming a Principal Officer to Chicago Alternative Health Center, LLC.
Neal continues to actively represent clients in litigation, drafting and reviewing contracts as well numerous transactions for many clients in the service, entertainment and hospitality industry.
